Can Android or iPhone sync my computer’s Outlook Contacts and Appointments?

My last 6 phones have always been Windows smartphones so that they could ActiveSync with my Outlook. I’m lazy and want everything the same everywhere without needing to enter stuff twice.
So since my son just got a job in sales at a Sprint store and they don’t carry Windows phone and he tells me that their system can’t support a Windows phone, I’ve not been able to get myself to leave T-Mobile and move over to Sprint.
So, can stuff sync all of the time if I switch to using an Android or an iPhone or would it only allow me to import those things when I was first setting up a new phone if I switched to one and went with Sprint?
