Can Mail Merge send from a public folder’s email?

A client wants to send a Mail Merge via Word, however she is unable to choose the ‘from’ address. She wants to send from a public folder’s email address, she has ‘send as’ rights and I’ve confirmed it working from Outlook.

I’ve had a good look on Google, and it seems like the accepted (albeit cumbersome) solution around not being able to change ‘from’ in Mail Merge, is to create a 2nd Outlook profile. This would work in any other case, but the public folder isn’t an AD user that I can add as an IMAP account/etc.

I don’t even think what she wants to achieve is possible, does anyone have any experience/advice?
