can not get hp officjet r40xi to print

When i try to print from my computer to my printer as soon as i hit print from my computer my printer starts the process like it is goin to prit but it will not print i have e-mailed hp and did everything they asked me to do and reladed the driver but it is still doing this can you please help me fix this problem
