Can one switch support two different LANs?

by juannorton . Updated 18 years, 4 months ago

Hello:

I am making two differents laboratories and I only have one switch to connect the computers. So my questions is:

Can I put different IP ranges to the LANs (10.0.0.x and 192.168.0.X) and connect them two one switch?

It is that possible?
Do that affect the LANs?
The things is that I do not want the LANs to see each other.

I have 3 computers forming one LAN (10.0.0.X) and 2 forming the 192.0.0.X Lan. Can I put them all together in the same swith?

Thanks

J
