Cannot access anything Google…

by greatwillmiester . Updated 16 years, 7 months ago

Windows XP SP3, IE8…
Working on a system for a customer. Can get to any website except Google. Also, if I use Bing, Yahoo etc to search for Google it times out.
Cannot ping Google, shows an IP address of 64.xxx.xxx.xxx (don’t have it here at this system), but if I do an NSLookup for Google that shows several 74.xxx.xxx.xxx entries. If I manually enter the IP address I can get to Google. I have both run the Repair in Network Connections and IPconfig /flushdns. /Displaydns shows the 64.xxx Ip address even after all the flushes and repairs. I have also run a winsock repair, disabled all add-ons, and presently I am running a virus check. This is on my internal network here at the shop no other systems are having this issue, and this is the issue that the system was brought in for.
