Cannot boot into NT4.0

by gmloukie . Updated 25 years, 8 months ago

A Compaq Proliant2500 with a smart array and 4HDisk and RAID5. It boots to a black screen with the cursor blinking top left. The disks are checked and are working fine. The logical volume has one EISA partition 36M and the rest NTFS. From a boot diskette I can boot into NT. I tried to copy the bootsector using diskedit but it gave me the same result. Tried also to restore, It restored a number of files but the result was the same. I do not know if I can do anything with the MBR or if it is onlya matter of the disks.
