Cannot connect to any server

I’ve had a XP Media Edition PC brought into the office and I need to transfer some of the local files onto the main file server.

Usually with PC’s not joined to the domain I can still connect by running \\servername\foldername from the Run command and it will just ask for username and password of a user with permissions to connect.

However with this PC it just says “Network path not found” when I do this. I thought it may be an issue with it being XP Media Edition but we have one of these in the gym which is only logged into on a local user account but does not have this problem.

It can connect to the internet via the LAN with no problem.

Any thoughts?
