Cannot link to net through router

I have a new modem ASUS WL-520G and can link to it from the wireless network card but cannot get internet to work. When connecting PC to modem through cable the internet works.

I have also run cable instead of wireless network card and that doe not work.

I have tried changing the settings for cable users as I am on Virgin. I have checked IP Config and got id’s and tried to put those in but to no avail.

What will make the router pick up the net through the router?
