Can’t browse the network after get out from a domain

Hello to everybody

I moved several computer with windows XP from a network with a domain controller to another one without domain controller. In each computer I changed in the control panel the flag from domain to workgroup. Now, if I choose for the workgroup the same name of the old domain I can browse the network and I can see the computer connected; but if the name of the workgroup is different I can’t browse the network.

Anyone can help me?
