Can’t Change Home Page

I just bought a Dell Inspiron E1505 laptop with Windows Media Center on it. First thing I noticed is that you can’t change the start page in IE. I found two registry entries that control it, but even with an administrator account, access is denied to make chnages. Does anyone know how to bypass this “feature?” Currently the home page defaults to a Dell site.
