Can’t delete roaming profile directory. Win2K ADS, XP Clients

I’m trying to relocate the profile directories for my roaming users to another physcial location on the network. I can get the profile data to copy over with no problem, however I cannot delete the old profile directories. When attempting to do so I get an Access Denied notification. This occurs despite taking ownership of the folder / subfolders. Server is Win2K. I appreciate your input.
