Can’t find NAS device on network..

Setup: NT server, 2 xp home on a workgroup, 3 xp pro on a domain. nas (hp media vault) plugged directly into a switch. Found and configured nas on both home editions and 1 of the pro. Now on the the 2 pro pc’s i can’t see the NAS in network nieghborhood. I can ping both by name and ip. I added to the host file, enabled dns service, added to trusted sites in antivirus, turned off windows firewall, made sure file and print sharing is enabled..Please help!!Any suggestions would be great..Thanks
