Can’t FTP on the Web

Hi,

I find that I can’t use ftp through a link on the web. I have IE 5.5 and I’m on a client accessing the net through a proxy 2.0 server.

With Proxy client enabled on my client machine, I can FTP all day as long as my FTP client is set to passive transfer mode. But when I try to click on an ftp link in the browser it just sits there and times out.

Is this a passive transfer issue? How do you get the browser to do passive mode…..
