Can’t get into a Cisco 2924XL

I’ve got a Cisco 2924XL (IOS 12.0) that I was trying to do the initial setup on, but instead of being prompted to specify the IP info, I get a switch> prompt.

Moreover, I can’t get into the exec to do a show run or change any info. This was a new router, so I don’t know why it did not run the initial setup routine. I ran it on two other switches without a problem.

Is there a default password that these things come with that I can use to get past this, or is there a wayto return to factory config?

If anyone has any ideas, it would be greatly appreciated.
