Can`t install Windows 2000 server

by gdemoura . Updated 23 years ago

I have a Dell PowerEdge 2300 server with 4*18GB SCSI hard drives in a raid 5 config.
I have two logical partitions0:
C: 48 GB for data
D: 2GB for system

Each time I try to install Windows2000 server from the CD I format the D partition in NTFS and when it copies the files it stops a 99% and can`t copy the following files:
arcldr.exe, arcsetup.exe, ntldr,ntdetect.com.

If I skip them It can finish copy the rest of the files but my OS install is aborted and can`t boot on it.

How can I fix this problem?

This problem started when I first installed Windows 2000 server succesfully and then from disk management I enabled the partition D: (original the data partition, that then became C:) because I couldn`t access it.
The C: partition was originally the system partition.
I then redid the Windows2000 server install and reformated the 2GB system partition.

Why did the drive letter change? Can I modify it?

It`s very critical for me to have it fix, please help
