I need help, hopefully this is not too serious. I had a friends laptop which was set up with domain X, .user name zzp, no workgroup. I installed Network Magic (which should be irrelevant to the problem) and I wanted to add this computer (to share files, specifically) with other computers in a workgroup called Q_OFFICE_Group. I changed this laptop’s workgroup (which was previously empty)in the Computer Name tab of the System Property page to Q_OFFICE_Group. This caused the domain name to become greyed out and the WG name was added. when I restarted the computer, I logged in with the regular username (zzp) and password…. it says login failed. What’s happening? What should I do to correctly login. It must have somethng to do with the domain name and username. Help!!! Thanks!
