Can’t open mapped drive – Please go to control panel to install and configu

Switch a peer to peer network to a server based domain. All workstations have been made members of the domain with no issues. However when we map a network drive to a share on any computer on the network we are getting an error that says Please go to control panel to install and cinfigure system components. You can right click the drive and select open without issue. This is happening on all computers except the newly installed 2003 server. I have tried several fixes to know avail. Help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
