Can’t play audio cd on Windows Vista

I put an audio cd in my windows vista machine and when I go to double click on it to play it, it gives me the following error:
Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permission to access this file.
It does this for any audio cd I put in, but I can put in software cd’s and these work fine. Also, I can start up a VMWare workstation that uses XP and I can play the cds in there. I am a local administrator on the machine. Any ideas?
