Can’t purge a print job in WIndows XP

I have a PC running Windows XP Professional that has an HP Deskjet 5650 printer directly attached to it. Two days ago it started printing something labeled “ASCII dump” or something along those lines. I tried stopping and restarting the spooler service, cancelling the print job, restarting the print job, I’ve even gone so far as to attempt to delete the printer through regular means and through REGEDIT but nothing. As soon as I reintalled the printer the same print job came back up and now the printer is frozen and won’t print anything! I need help!
