Cant sent mail to Bigpond

I can’t telnet, ping ect Bigpond servers from my SBS 2003. But if i go directly onto the router bypassing the server i can. No e-mails that are sent to them go through and no e-mails sent from Bigpond customers come through to me. My server are not greylisted. Can someone maybe help?
