Career direction after 1yr. in programming in IT solution company

Hi I am in a big Indian IT solution MNC as an entry level Project engineer and currently working on MS.Net platform, C#, MS SQL server technologies… I’m having Bachelor degree in Computer engineering. Now after 1yr. exp. should I go for some global certification from MS, MCTS, MCPD? Is these kinds of certificates specific to some language/technology really help me in long run? What I think I should concentrate more on some technical domain knowledge like enterprise security etc. or some tools like ETL tools, not specific language/technology training….. am I right?

Can any exp. guy give some light on it?
