Hope you are fine. This question of mine is huge enough to take 10 minutes of your invaluable time. I would be happy to hear to your suggestions.
I am working as a Junior Network Engineer for a company which employs 100-200 Data warehouse developers.
This is my third job, in the past 4 years, it is the first one to give me exposure in Managing the IT infrastructure in an organization.
My present job role is Microsoft Operating System oriented though my designation says Network Engineer.
I setup a small lab for myself and started working on Windows Server 2003 installation and Active Directory and as days progressed I developed an interest towards it.
I started getting this thought if I should attend classes and equip myself with a professional certification from Microsoft. Few people suggested me CCNA too but I do not have much clarity on it.
I would like to know if one should go for a certification. If yes, is it based on the role that we perform. Or is it enough for a person to resort to books and videos to get trained on technologies.
