Cartridge Jam

I have a hp 6110 officejet printer. I am having a cartridge jam and the ink cartrige remain stationary on the right hand side out of reach. Normally, when I open the door, the cartrideges would slide to the left for removal. Because of this, now my printer will not print. What can I do to resolve this issue?
