CAT5 Troubleshooting

I have a run of cat5 (50 feet). When I try to connect to the network I get limited or no connectivity.

When I reduce the distance to about 20 feet everything works fine.

I have tried several different peaces of cable and have the same problem.

I know cat5 is good for about 100 meters and I have ran long distances in the past with no problem.

I even tried cable off of two different spools.

I’m Stumped!
