CCNA Exam

I am interested in getting a CCNA certification. Can any of you smart people out there that have taken the test tell me what resources and materials you used to learn it.

I am teaching it to myself and have no resource to any hardware.

There are many books, lab sims, bundles packages.

My question which should I buy?
