CD R/RW – Philips CDD4401/71

I have a Philips CDD4401/71 CD R/RW 4x4x24. I’ve tried a number of burning software and none of them detect the burner. My PC is a HP Vecrta, 128Mb Ram, 200Mhz, Win 98SE, 7Gig total; primarys – 3gig master, 4gig slave – secondary – cd r/rw master. Do I need drivers for my cd r/rw or are the settings wrong ; DMA ticked, Auto Insert Notification ticked, sync data transfere not ticked.
