CD-ROM

Any idea why my CD-ROM is unable to read the CD? When i started up my PC, it can found the CD-ROM drive and a disc can be inserted also but then it just couldn’t read it. My OS is Win98SE. I have changed a few CD-ROM devices but still the same…can’t read the disc. Anyone knowing how to troubleshoot this…? Thanks in advanced.
