CD Rom is not working

After instaling the New NERO 5.5.x I try to test the Speed of the CD Rom-Device. Afterwards the CD just spins uncontinously, and apears a Mesage like the “Device is not ready, Cannot read” (or somet’ like that).
Ist it posible the Speed-Test “broke” my Drive or is it posible there is a “Software-Problem”?
