CDROM CONTROLLERS

I have a Vision data cdrom 50X, it is recognised in device manager,and shows up in windows explorer, click on D drive and shows contents of cd, but will not read. In device manager under the cdrom it has yellow ? on Mitsumi cd rom controllers. I have searched a lot of sites but no information on Vision Data cd rom drives, it is not listed in Mitsumi, so why would it be looking for Mitsumi controllers. I installed another cdrom drive and it works under windows drivers, so it only relates to the vision data. I reinstalled windows but that did not install these controllers, Any idea how I go about this, thank you.
