Certifications Combinations

What combinations of certifications can have the best career impact? Getting one certificate may mean one thing but would it be more meaningful if you demonstrated competence in a certain area but from different perspectives.

Another idea is which of the certifications are not subject matter related but complimentary. For example, PMP and CISSP.
