Certifications doesn’t measure

by suhreed sarkar . Updated 20 years, 4 months ago

I am MCP+I, and acting as Trainer for MCSE subjects for years. I found so many people certified as MCSE, who don’t know basics of Networking or Backoffice family products.I found one MCSE installing Windows NT Server in a stand-alone machine, and when it wants network adapter he stopped it. And he installed a network card there, completed NT Installation and removed the adapter again. Can you think of it? Yes, afterwards all the network service were malfunctioning. This is one example.
I foundthe Micorsoft tests so easy that one can pass it by memorizing some demo questions and answers. I found same questions that appeared in Network Press Study Guides. After that I really feel shy to mention me as MCP.
Microsoft ( and all other certification autorites) should be carefull of it, and maintain the quality. Otherwise certifications will be meaningless.
