Change Letters Assigned to Drives?

I have two physical hard drives. The first has Win98 on C:\ and also an extended D:\. When I format the second drive (also to Fat32), the d:\ is changed to e:\ and the newly formatted drive becomes d:\. Can I change the letters assigned to the drives so that the newly formatted drive will be e:\? Thanks for the help.
