Change of DHCP servers

We currently have DHCP service running on a Novell box. We will be moving that service onto a Windows 2000 server. Can we just shut down the Novell DHCP server and boot up our W2K DHCP server, or is there something else we need to do? I’m sure others have gone through this already.
