child domain

hi

i have a parent domain example.com and i have exchange in the parent domain,now i installed a child domain test.example.com.can i use the same exchange server in parent domain for users email in child domain and have childdomainuser@example.com as his email id instead of having seperate exchange server in child domain as childdomainuser@test.example.com.
