Chinese-Japanese characters in startup program

Working on a ladies PC who has a line in her startup in the system configuration that has either Chinese or Japanese or a combo of both characters in the msconfig. It has been disabled but how do I get rid of it??? And does anyone have a clue what it might be? Her PC seems to be working ok, and I have run a couple of different spyware programs plus her antivirus with no partiuclar episodes of infection. She doesn’t know where it came from naturally.
