Cisco 851w and VPN passthrough

by coolnx2000 . Updated 18 years, 6 months ago

Hello,

I am trying to configur the Cisco router to allow VPN passthrough. I have a regular home router (Linksys) and it works fine. Here is what I want to achieve:

Connect via VPN to the office network and have Internet access via the office internet connection. (I have a static IP that permits me to access customers’ servers) With the Linksys, no problem, I simply forwarded port 1723 to my server’s IP, then created a static route from the assigned VPN IP network (ex: 10.0.0.0) to use the server’s IP as the gateway.

As far as I can tell, I did the same thing on the cisco…I am able to connect via VPN, but Internet does not work, nor can I ping any address on the outside, even though I can ping the gateway address. I really need this to work..

Thank you,

Blair
