Cisco 851W wireless problem

by c0media . Updated 14 years, 6 months ago

I get recurring wireless dropouts when using the cisco 851w. It is located 6 feet from the client machine I’m testing with.

The client machine has performed flawlessly on network with an 871w installed, and a cheap D-LINK I tested with. Therefore the problem assuredely seems to be the router.

– I’ve attempted switching channels
– no cdp enable
– no dot11Radio extension aironet

these configurations do not improve the experienced behavior. I heard something of a “faulty chipset” from a Cisco integrator I once spoke with, but I’ve never experienced hardware problems with Cisco before.

Has anyone experienced this?
Has anyone who has experienced this, fixed this?

Thanks for any information that can be provided.
