cisco ios – delete files, but no squeeze command?

hi all,

i’m trying to free up some space on our router
here so i can install sdm. we have a cisco
1721 which is our primary gateway and vpn
device, etc. it had a bunch of unnecessary
files on it (old image and crash logs from 5
years ago). i used the delete command to
remove these files, but when i do a ‘dir /all’
i see that there are still ghosts of these
files still taking up space on the flash.
sooo, i did some digging and apparantly there
is supposed to be a ‘squeeze’ command which
would purge all these files which have been
marked for deletion… well that command
doesn’t seem to work… when i do a ‘?’ to see
a list of commands, it’s just not there. and
yes, i am in privilaged mode.

any ideas?
