Cisco MLS bridging

Hi,
I’ve got a cisco 3550-12g multilayer switch and 2 layer 2 2950 catalysts. The 2 2950 are on different subnets each and I want to use the 3550 mls to bridge them. Is it possible to make this happen without using vtp? I don’t want to complicate my network. Any advise will be much welcome.
