Cisco Pix 501 Resetting to Default

Okay – I bought a used Cisco Pix 501 so I could learn – and so far the only lesson is not to buy a cisco pix. I was able to run a crossover to the box, and did change the IP to 192.168.1.1 from the default setting, at which time connection was lost.Now I can’t get back in. I’ve changed by IP addressing range on my computer to allow me to reach it – but no luck.
I’ve also tried the console cable from the serial port to the console port – but still no luck.
How do I reset the cisco to the default setting, and most importantly – where can I find simple lessons online that will show me how to access, setup and configure this firewall?

Any help is greatly appreciated.
