Cisco Pix revieling too much

I have a Cisco Pix 520 (IOS ver 5.3(1) running as a VPN. I have recently noticed that hot submissions to the running config can not be viewed with “sh config” unless I perform a “wr mem”. Also, when I show the config, it displays all of my pre-shared keys instead of asterisks

Does anyone have an idea what might be causing my problem?
