Cisco router connection problem

We have 2 new cisco 1720’s connected over a
T-1 connection. We connect up to the terminal server and run our database app all works well. If we try to run the database app directly over the t-1 connection the app times out and we get unable to write errors. Same app works fine over our other 2 T-1 connections.
