Cisco Switch Configuration

I am currently in the process of studying for my CCNA, and I have a Cisco 1900 catalyst switch at my home which I am using as my test lab. When I power the switch up there is no option K on the menu system to start the CLI. I would like to know how to activate the Command line interface(CLI)or add option K feature to the menu system? Any assistance is greatly appreciated.
