Cisco VPN 4.6.03 client with Linksys WRT54GS router

I am running Windows XP Pro and Cisco VPN client 4.6.03 on my laptop through a Linksys WRT54GS router. I am trying to connect to the VPN 3000 concentrator at work. I get connected using Ipsec UDP in the Cisco client. If I wire my laptop to the router it works fine. If I try to connect wireless I get connected and can authenticate but my laptop degrades and I can not connect to the servers, outlook or the internet. When I shut down the VPN client I can connect to the internet wireless through the router. Why does it not work wireless versus wired?
