Cisco VPN – Can’t access remote resources

by jkenney . Updated 18 years, 5 months ago

I’ve seen similar issues raised here but no clear answers…

I have a Cisco VPN Concentrator 3000 with a good number of remote users connecting to the corporate network with Cisco 4.6/4.8 VPN clients. A week and a half ago, a handful (& growing)number of users connect through the VPN but can’t connect to network resources. Example: Ping a site, but can’t bring up the website at that IP address by name or IP. The users with the problems are connecting from a very wide variety of areas and providers. Some DSL, some broadband, some wirelessly on the road… Me and my staff are baffled!

Example: One user, new laptop… setup at corp, move to outside of firewall (but local) wireless and test VPN. Works… user takes home… no joy. VPN connects, no network resources.
