Cisco VPN Client

I am trying to set up Cisco VPN client V 4.0.1D to access a Win2K network behind a Cisco PIX 506. The Client is running on both Win2k and XP workstations. Am able to connect to the PIX but cannot get a logon prompt from the network. This is true even with running the windows logon first. Seems to be a conundrum: Can’t join the remote network because I cannot control how to get thru the network LAN adapter. HELP.
