Cisco vpn + router = no TS connection

I connect to work thru a cisco vpn connection. I go thru my wireless router at home(Dlink li524).The vpn connection works fine however, when I try to access terminal services server at work, the connection just times out. This was working on my old regular router (Linksys). I have called support but they are no help. I have opened all necessary ports but still nothing. Does anyone have any suggestions? I know it has something to do with the router. I can use a regular vpn connection with no issues, it is just with the cisco vpn.
