Client Access Express data transfer

by compappserv . Updated 22 years, 4 months ago

Hi,

Using OS v4r5m0, I’ve successfully set up a local PC via TCP/IP to connect to the AS400 using PC5250 emulation in Client Access Express.

When I attempt to use the data transfer button in Client Access Express to transfer a physical data file from the 400 to the PC or attempt to transfer a member of a source physical file (containing program source code) to the PC I’m receiving the following errors. Note: the library is in the library list.

CWBTF0036 – No database files exist in the specified library.

When I attempt to add an additional library to the library list for the data transfer, I receive the following error:

CWBTF0040 – The AS/400 library does not exist.

I may be missing something obvious, but I’m at a loss as to what the problem is.

Any ideas as to why the data transfer isn’t recognizing my file as a database file?
Any idea why it would say that the library does not exit, when in fact it does?

Note: This works without problem on an AS400 that is on an earlier OS version (version 3).

Also Note: I can access the contents of the physical file from inside of Ops Navigator on the PC.

Searching the web I found reference to running QTQRECOV as a solution to fixing an edi file transfer problem that someone was having. Is this a possible solution to my problem? And, what does QTQRECOV do? I can’t find any details about it on IBM’s website.

All thoughts and advice are welcome. THANKS !!!
