Collect event log remotely

Anyone knows how to collect event log remotely?

Here we have an Windows Server 2003 domain environment, all domain users have no rights (or only Network Configuration Operator” rights) on local Windows XP Professional SP2 machines. On local machines of Windows XP Professional, only Client for Microsoft Network and TCP/IP Protocol are installed.

Is there any way to collect event log as a file remotely on local network?
