com port error message

I run a program for med billing which has capabilities to file claims electronically.Problem is everytime I try to connect,I receive error message=20,could not open com port3 (lucent win modem is on com port3).It states my hardware settings not correct? I ck’ed device manager-which only shows
com port 1&2. Where is com Port3? I have no other
trouble with my modem because I send data electronically to another computer-different location.Any help would be appreciated.
